On May 15, 2025, the City of Munich celebrated a brand-new fashion highlight: the very first edition of the Munich Fashion Award brought glamour, innovation, and future visions to a dazzling Green Carpet in Munich. The award ceremony placed a strong focus on sustainability, aethetics and creativity, honoring emerging design talents from across Europe in the categories of Contemporary Sustainable Fashion and Contemporary Sustainable Accessories. The response was overwhelming: more than 170 applications from all around Europe were submitted, from which a prestigious jury selected ten outstanding finalists. These young designers showcased their collections live on stage at House of Communication in Munich, captivating the audience with unique concepts and visionary designs. Over 300 guests from the politics, economy, buyers, scientists, fashion, media, influencers, and cultural industries attended the event – an evening filled with inspiration, emotion, and groundbreaking ideas.
